Samsung Galaxy S. Release Rumors
It is quite commonplace in the wireless industry for companies to release new devices slowly across the globe. Apple is chief in this terminology, often debuting a product in new countries over the span of several months. Apparently Samsung is not familiar with this line of thinking. The long anticipated Samsung Galaxy S. is rumored to become available in July in over 110 countries simultaneously. The Android powered phone will come with a Super AMOLED screen and a 5MP camera, along with a 1GHz processor. The rumors regarding the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S. are in line with previous rumors that speculated that the device will be available on all major U.S. carriers. While none of this has obviously been confirmed, the publication Korea IT Times firmly believes

Google to Release less Android Updates
Over the last year, Google has been releasing updates for the Android mobile operating system at an alarming rate. The recent release of the Android 2.2 Froyo however, could be the last update we will see for the Android for quite a while. Andy Rubin, vice president of all things mobile at Google, stated that he was inclined to slow down the pace of new Android releases to two per year in order for developers to better leverage the Android. "Our product cycle is now, basically twice a year, and it will probably end up being once a year when things start settling down, because a platform that's moving--it's hard for developers to keep up. I want developers to basically leverage the innovation. I don't want developers to have to predict the innovation," Rubin

Best Buy Slashes Prices on the Kin One and Kin Two
Electronic retailer Best Buy has announced that it is slashing the prices on the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two. The Kin One will now be available for free and the Kin Two will run customers only $50. Both phones will still require a contract and expensive data package from Verizon. Both the Kin One and Kin Two were designed to appeal to the adolescent demographic and both phones have been armed to the teeth with social applications and other tools and services that appeal to pimply faced youths. Despite decent design, both Microsoft devices have experienced relatively lackluster sales performances thus far since their launch. This could be the major reasoning behind Best Buy’s decision to cut pricing. Microsoft has always played second fiddle in the mobile industry and

Apple sells over 2 Million iPads
Apple has sold over 2 million iPads. The Cupertino based tech firm made the recent announcement that comes 60 days after the device’s release. The majority of sales have come from the United Sates, but that is scheduled to change with the launch of the iPad in Canada and some countries in Europe and Asia. Steve Jobs has recently behaved more fanatical that usual, shaking his fist in defiance at anyone who dares challenge him. With the iPhone HD scheduled for release soon, we can only assume the Lord Job’s behavior will worsen. 5,000 apps have been created specifically for the iPad thus far and Apple is expecting developers to continue with this impressive release rate. Apple may have trouble increasing the amount of apps for the iPad after many developers have become

Woman Suing Google for Bad Directions
There is no accounting for the stupidity of some people. An ignoramus named Lauren Rosenberg is suing Google for bad directions on Google Maps. Apparently the woman took walking directions from Google Maps which sent her to walk on a busy highway. The woman was struck by car and is seeking damages for her injuries. This is just another example of the horrendous and almost criminal lawsuits that have been running rampant in the United States like a plague for many years. If after plotting the route, Google Maps would have said ‘go to this bridge and jump’, would Lauren Rosenberg have done so? Common sense is a severely lacking trait in this day and age. People who choose to behave like lemmings and drones in day to day life and then expect us to bail them out should be

Motorola to Release Two More Android Phones
Motorola has announced that it will be releasing two new Android powered devices on July 7. Both handsets will be available via Verizon, the leading wireless provider in the United States. Motorola top dog Sanjay Jha wasn’t exactly quick to issue a battle cry as Motorola continues to struggle to compete with industry rivals. "We will introduce new Droid products in the Verizon franchise," said Sanjay Jha. Wow! Don’t throw too much information our way Sanjay. The lack of enthusiasm in general from Motorola does plenty to hurt their image. Say what you want about Steve Jobs and Apple, but there is never a dull moment when they release, or announce the release, of a new product. That doesn’t mean that the new Motorola phones won’t be successful, but it does

SIRIUS XM is considered by some to be a breakthrough on the fascist hold the FCC has on the radio. The satellite based radio service is home to Howard Stern, the legendary disc jockey and all around personality that revolutionized radio. SIRUIS XM will be compatible with the DROID, DROID ERIS, Hero, G1, CLIQ and DROID Incredible. Pretty much all Android handsets will be able to use this new service. The only stumbling block is the hefty price tag, but the old adage ‘you get what you
