SIRIUS XM, the rouge non-terrestrial radio service has announced a new application for the Android OS. Android users can listen to SIRIUS XM radio stations (120 in all) on their device. The application is free to try for seven days and requires a subscription in order to be used afterwards. SIRIUS XM is considered by some to be a breakthrough on the fascist hold the FCC has on the radio. The satellite based radio service is home to Howard Stern, the legendary disc jockey and all around personality that revolutionized radio. SIRUIS XM will be compatible with the DROID, DROID ERIS, Hero, G1, CLIQ and DROID Incredible. Pretty much all Android handsets will be able to use this new service. The only stumbling block is the hefty price tag, but the old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is an argument that many people make in favor of the SIRIUS XM product.
