    Motorola Takes Shot at Apple

Apple is continuing to eat some serious cow dung over the reception problems with the iPhone 4. This time it is Motorola that is slapping the high and mighty Cupertino based tech firm that has been brought down to earth over this major kerfuffle. The new advertisement of the soon to be released Motorola Droid X device highlights all of the great specifications of the phone but also announces that users will be able to hold the Android powered device any way they wish. At the bottom of the ad it states ‘And most importantly, it comes with a double antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls.’ There is no doubt that Apple will soon solve the reception problems that have plagued the…

Lawsuit against Apple over Reception Issues?

The buzzards are already starting to circle around Cupertino. Due to the serious iPhone 4 reception problems that have plagued the launch of the next generation device, scumbag lawyers are looking at cashing in on Apple’s misfortune. "If you recently purchased the new iPhone and have experienced poor reception quality, dropped calls and weak signals, we would like to hear from you," said the law firm Kershaw Cutter & Ratinoff who are poised to strike at what they probably perceive to be a lucrative opportunity. I wonder how many spineless jellyfish have already answered the call. If any have, then they should be ashamed of themselves. If you have a problem, then go to Apple and deal with it, but don’t try to weasel some cash into your pocket without allowing…

Apple Claims to Have Solved Reception Problems with the iPhone 4

After being bashed by pundits and users regarding their reaction to the ‘death grip’ problem with the iPhone 4, Apple has announced that the problem could be solved shortly with the release of the iOS 4.01. The problem in question is the poor reception that iPhone 4 users experienced when gripping the lower left hand corner of the device. Apple believes that this is a software problem and is apparently releasing a firmware update today that should hopefully rectify this unfortunate situation. Steve Jobs had mentioned earlier that users were simply not holding the iPhone correctly. However, there was enough of a public outrage over that comment that Apple has instead decided to do the right thing and create a fix. Let us just hope that the problem will be solved. If it…

iPhone 4 in White Available Late July

It looks like fans of the white iPhone can now relax. Apple has announced that a white version of the iPhone 4 will be available in late July. This is about a month after the official release of the black iPhone 4. The reason for the delay is a result of some unexpected manufacturing difficulties encountered with the white iPhone 4. I am not sure what the color of the phone has to do with mechanical issues, but I won’t claim to be an expert in the subject. The black iPhone 4 has officially been released and is now available in Apple stores everywhere. Black, white, red or whatever other kind of color you can imagine, there is no doubt that the iPhone 4 is going to be a big hit. The only real question is how much of a success will it end up being? As big a success as the…

AT&T Delays iPhone Sales by Almost a Week!

The Apple faithful have been dealt a crushing blow by AT&T. America’s second largest carrier has announced that it will postpone sales of the iPhone 4 to June 29. Originally, AT&T was scheduled to offer the new iPhone on June 24, but has since been forced to change the announced date due to what appears to be an unexpected shortages in available stock. The reason for the delay is not confirmed however. While the iPhone 4 has sold extremely well during the pre-purchase period, there are some who believe that the real reason for the launch delay is an assembly line glitch. Of course, it may very well be a different reason entirely and we should not put too much faith in rumors. Apple fans will be miffed at the delay, but will tolerate another five days of anxious waiting.…

iPhone 4 Devices Shipping via FedEx

Reports are coming in that Apple has started to ship iPhone 4 units via FedEx. Customers have apparently started to receive notifications regarding shipping and that the units should arrive at the promised date of June 24th. There was some worry that consumers would not receive their phones in time due to the massive demand that Apple has experienced since it began taking pre-orders for the next generation iPhone. AT&T in fact, has stopped offering the iPhone 4 in presale as the wireless provider claims that it is out of stock. The iPhones being shipped are all black as was reported previously and it is unclear when Apple will begin to offer a white version of the iPhone 4. Even with the massive demand during the pre-purchase period, lineups will probably be unbearably…

Micro-SIM Not Transferable from iPhone 4 to iPad

According to Apple and European wireless provider O2, the micro-SIM in the iPhone 4 cannot be transferred to the iPad and vice versa. This is sure to sadden some Apple fans, but according to O2, there is a valid technical reason for this. Nick Wilkins, spokesman for O2 said, ‘the micro-SIMs for the iPhone are set up to allow voice calls, SMS messages and data functionality, whereas the iPad micro-SIM is provisioned to allow pay-as-you-go data transfer only. The two devices are designed to give a different experience. The iPhone 4 is for regular use, whereas with the iPad we offer more flexibility over data use.' While we are not questioning the honesty and integrity of O2, we certainly are when it comes to Apple. The highway robbers at Cupertino have long been known for…

    AT&T Pre-Launch iPhones Sold Out

Looks like AT&T has already run out of iPhone HD devices for its pre-launch sale. There will be some iPhones available on June 24th, the official launch day, but no more pre-orders are being taken until then. AT&T released this statement: "Because of the incredible interest in iPhone 4, today was the busiest online sales day in AT&T history. As of Tuesday afternoon, customers who preorder iPhone 4 moving forward will receive their device on June 25 or later, depending on when the order is placed. We'll email customers with confirmation once their order is placed, and again when it ships. In addition, we will have devices available on a first-come, first-serve basis in our stores beginning on June 24." We should recall that no white iPhones are available at…

Apple Offering iPhone HD in Black only?

Hot news off the blogosphere has some Apple fan boys in a panic. It appears that AT&T will only be offering the iPhone HD in black during the first days of the launch. There was no reasoning behind this rumor and some believe that the possibility of black only iPhones should not be taken seriously. In addition, Apple has not announced that it will be offering only black iPhones during the launch of the HD at its stores. This rumor does carry some merit however, as both German and Japanese carriers that will be selling the iPhone HD have confirmed that only a black version will be available for the time being. Could this be a marketing ploy by Apple as it attempts to perhaps change the image of the iPhone? The black color could give the iPhone a more cutting edge…

    iPhone HD Available at Wal-Mart

Looks like Wal-Mart will be offering the iPhone HD on June 24th, when the highly anticipated next generation iPhone becomes available. This is quite the change of pace for both AT&T and Apple, with previous iPhones only available at official stores of both companies. Best Buy and Radioshack have also announced that they will be offering the new iPhone. This change in policy could have something to do with increased competition that Apple is facing. In previous years, Apple confined the availability of the iPhone in order to increase its exclusivity, but increased encroachment from Android operated devices could be forcing Apple to rethink its marketing strategy. It could be predicted that this new business modus operandi will spill over into other Apple services as the…
