Hot news off the blogosphere has some Apple fan boys in a panic. It appears that AT&T will only be offering the iPhone HD in black during the first days of the launch. There was no reasoning behind this rumor and some believe that the possibility of black only iPhones should not be taken seriously. In addition, Apple has not announced that it will be offering only black iPhones during the launch of the HD at its stores. This rumor does carry some merit however, as both German and Japanese carriers that will be selling the iPhone HD have confirmed that only a black version will be available for the time being. Could this be a marketing ploy by Apple as it attempts to perhaps change the image of the iPhone? The black color could give the iPhone a more cutting edge appearance and help stave off the worn look that anything white gets after a short amount of usage.
