Reports are coming in that Apple has started to ship iPhone 4 units via FedEx. Customers have apparently started to receive notifications regarding shipping and that the units should arrive at the promised date of June 24th. There was some worry that consumers would not receive their phones in time due to the massive demand that Apple has experienced since it began taking pre-orders for the next generation iPhone. AT&T in fact, has stopped offering the iPhone 4 in presale as the wireless provider claims that it is out of stock. The iPhones being shipped are all black as was reported previously and it is unclear when Apple will begin to offer a white version of the iPhone 4. Even with the massive demand during the pre-purchase period, lineups will probably be unbearably long on the opening day release. Good thing that Apple choose a summer month for the iPhone 4’s release. I pity New Yorkers that would have to stand in line if the new iPhone were to be released in January.
