    For all the sloppy people:

A new version of Navizon, that able to locate your phones & kids at the same time. Most remarkable addition to the new version is a new service called Mob-findr that will let you find the location of a phone just by sending an SMS to it, Brilliant! So how is this different from the Buddy Finder? Well, there is a major difference: instead of constantly sending your location, this process is running in the background and get invoked only when it receives an SMS with the passphrase you entered for this feature. This means that it will have no impact on the battery life or performance of your phone. You can just set it... and forget it! If you ever lose your phone, you will be happy to find out where it is located by sending an SMS to it.You can also use this feature to…

Mobile charging version - by O2

Mobile phones are meant to be just…mobile & it's about time charging them became ultra mobile, too! O2 may have come up with the right answer developing a new pedal-powered charger. Not to be outdone by Orange, which is trialling a dance-powered charger and a solar- and wind-powered charging tent at Glastonbury, O2 is showcasing its new charging method at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park in London from 3 to 6 July 2008. The company is letting people charge up their mobiles by pedalling on its BMX, Chopper and racer-style bicycles. There is a snag though: there won't be any chatting on the move as the bikes are fixed to the ground. Not as mobile as I first thought, but it's still a green alternative to plugging into the mains -- and as there aren't many plug sockets…

UN are worried of mobile phone growth & disposal – Well, it’s about time.

The use of mobile phones has grown exponentially from the first few users in the 70’s to more than three billion in April, 2008. Sooner or later these phones will be discarded, whole or in parts. Part of the problem arises when developed countries recycle their old mobile phones by refurbishing them and then selling the handsets to developing countries that are hungry for the technology. Many developing nations don’t have the infrastructure to deliver landline phone and Internet, and mobile technology is perfect for such situations. Cell towers are relatively cheap and can deliver a large stream of information in remote places. Well, as we all know, many of the poorer nations don’t have the resources to properly dispose of cell phones. All handsets have some metals and…

    Fusion Voicemail Plus by PhoneFusion

This is amazing, fusion Voicemail Plus centralizes all of your voicemail boxes and presents your voicemail messages visually on your mobile handset. Instead of receiving voicemails in separate boxes for your mobile number, home number, VoIP number, office number, etc everything goes to your Phone-Fusion One voicemail box. The messages are then displayed visually on your handset. Each entry displays caller info and incoming number along with your number corresponding to the relevant phone service - so you know if the caller dialed your mobile number or home number for example. And did we mention that the service is completely free? Phone Fusion has a long-standing history providing the Fusion Voicemail Plus service for Windows Mobile. The service is currently in beta for…

Motorola to release MING A1600 and MING A1800

Another Motorola device announcement, the MING A1600 and A1800 with remarkably little fanfare. Both handsets are quite the same, both sporting GPS, touch-screens, Linux in, A2DP, only 3 megapixel camera, and ct. The CDMA/GSM hybrid A1800 sports support for two simultaneous network connections, while the GSM-only A1600 tops out at EDGE. Is moto crippling their GSM handsets with lowly EDGE connections? The Chinese target market is certainly part of the problem here, but you’d think they would at least, make some effort at a global launch with HSDPA support. Ah, we know! Because their MOTOMAXG OS doesn’t support 3G. That’s right! No pricing or release date info is available, but we wouldn’t hold our breath either way just to find out.

BlackBerry's HTML email is to come next

Waiting so long for native HTML email support on BlackBerrys. RIM is planning on upgrading their U.S. BIS system later this month, bringing a host of updates in anticipation of the arrival of their next-generation 9xxx device family. Most significantly, v2.5 of BIS will include support for HTML email delivery and rendering, a move that should finally bring the ‘Berry’s email appearance out of the stone-age. Further enhancements include support for OTA upgrades, calendar improvements, and a bit more. Bear in mind that your particular device will have to support these new features in order to allow you to take full advantage of the update, but seeing as we’ll all be carrying shiny new BlackBerry Bolds by the end of next month, the way of nature.
