The television streaming service called Hulu is now available on the iPhone. This free application will allow iPhone users to watch television shows on their iPhone. Hulu can be downloaded for free, but is limited in the selection of television content that can be viewed without purchasing a Hulu Plus subscription which will run at $10 a month. The Hulu Plus has a large selection of shows that will keep the average television buff occupied on many a bus ride home. However, the success of Hulu Plus is does not entirely rest on the company's shoulders. With mobile industry shift into purchasing content online, (apps, iTunes, etc…) it is possible that Hulu will not be able to make its way into the budget considerations of many potential customers. Companies are fighting over the expendable cash pie of the general public and that pie is not only smaller than it was five years ago, but increasing competition means that more and more pieces are being taken out. Hulu has an uphill battle waiting for it around the corner.
