iPhone customers who have the misfortune of banking with JPMorgan Chase can now enjoy a new feature that will allow them to deposit their checks from their iPhone device. By downloading the JPMorgan Chase application, users can deposit some hard earned money by taking a picture of both sides of the check and submitting them to the bank. In addition to this nifty service, users can also send money to other bank accounts, check their account balance and use a host of other painful tools. We can assume (or at least hope) that security is up to par with this new check feature. As more and more people treat their mobile device as a banking portal, rogues, cyber pirates and other scoundrels are sure to cause some trouble. The check deposit feature will be free of charge, though that will probably change in the coming years as banks are sure to look at mobile devices as an additional revenue stream.
