Thornley is named after the founder of the band vocalist/guitarist Ian Thornley, who is also known as an ex-member of Big Wreck. The band also comprised such musicians as drummer Sekou Lumumba, bassist Ken Tizzard, and guitarist Tavis Stanley. Gavin Brown (Three Days Grace) produced the band.
