Don Wilson and Bob Bogle founded the Ventures band in Tacoma, Washington in the late 50's. The original lineup consisted of Wilson and Bogle (guitars), Nokie Edwards (bass), and Skip Moore (drums). In 1959 the Ventures debut single entitled "Cookies and Coke" was issued on the Blue Horizon label, which was founded by Bogle and Wilson.
