Stephen Richards (vocals), Philip Lipscomb (bass), Michael DeWolf (guitar), and Jarrod Montague (drums) formed the metal band called Taproot. They signed the professional contract with Velvet-Hammer/Atlantic and their first full-length album entitled Gift was issued in 2000.
