Such musicians as Craig and Charlie Reid formed the Proclaimers in 1987. The band had obviously much in common with a well-known group called the Everly Brothers. The band specialized in post-punk pop style of music. The first two albums were issued in 1987-7988 and were called This Is the Story and Sunshine on Leith; they were a success.
