David Byrne (vocals and guitar), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Chris Frantz (drums) founded Talking Heads in New York in the middle 70's. They recruited ex-Modern Lovers member Jerry Harrison (keyboards) in 1976. The following year the group signed the music contract with Sire Records, which released its first full-length album entitled Talking Heads: 77.
