Jen Wood, Jimmy Tamborello, Jenny Lewis, and Ben Gibbard founded the rock band called the Postal Service in the early 2000's. Soon after that the group released its first EP called Chan. In 2002 the Postal Service signed the record contract with the Sub Pop label, which issued the band's debut full-length album entitled Give Up the following year.
