In 1999 Glenn Svensson and Mikael Sandorf (guitars) founded the Duskfall band. They recruited Kai Jaakkola (vocals), Magnus Olsson (guitar), Oskar Karlsson (drums), and Kaj Molin (bass), and in 2002 the band issued its first full-length album, Frailty, on the Black Lotus label. Duskfall's second album entitled Source appeared the following year.
