Sony Ericsson Unveils New Walkman Phones
There is nothing quite like a good birthday celebration and it appears that Sony Ericsson knew that better than anyone else when they revealed the all knew W902, W595 and W302 models as an acknowledgement of the walkman series’ third year. Sony Ericsson didn’t stop there, as they included three new headphone sets, a trio of new wireless speakers and a phone bag in what quickly became a mammoth showcase. AT&T to Provide International GPS Service
Yesterday, AT&T launched its international GPS service, AT&T Navigator Global Edition – the first of its kind in North America. The service will be available in over 20 countries across North America, Europe and the Caribbean. AT&T has even made the service available in six Chinese cities, effectively catering to customers involved in the upcoming Olympics. Blackberry Windows Goes Live
It was certainly inevitable – with the inevitable being Microsoft’s recent announcement of the first ever Windows Live Messenger for the Blackberry. Up until this point, Blackberry customers used the phone’s mobile IM as their primary messaging platform. Utilizing the Blackberry Push technology, the new Windows Live will allow users to send files, display pictures and pretty much do anything else similar to the desktop version of Windows Live Messenger. Motorola is acting really unfair here
Former executive Michael Fenger is sued by Motorola. He is currently vice president of Apple's global iPhone sales. Motorola decided to go for an act like that because of allegedly divulging corporate secrets to further the success of Apple's relatively new cellular platform, such as margins, operating strategies, marketing information, and customer initiatives, among other things. According to Bloomberg, Fenger formerly oversaw Motorola's mobile business as vice president in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Apple was not named in the suit. In addition to damages (which Motorola is seeking due to a breach of written contract with Genger, stating that Fenger is not to be employed by a competing company for at least two years from March 31st) the company hopes to…

More than 5 minutes figuring out how to dial 911...
A new Cryptex phone concept is quite interesting although I wouldn't rely on it when I have to dial a number in an emergency. After all, you will need to twist each individual number before a call can be made, making it extremely cool but not user friendly at all. Haptic technology is used for physical feedback whenever you make a call. Designed by March Schomann, the Cryptex phone concept also comes with a vibrate feature that ought to appeal to at least half of the world's population.

T-Mobile to launch Oct. 1st
T-Mobile has planned a number of changes to its service towards the end of 2008, according to unconfirmed reports. Among these is a second indication that the company will launch its 3G broadband network on October 1st, finally introducing competition for AT&T's HSPA network. It is rumored that on the same date T-Mobile will introduce its first Android phone, a 3G-ready HTC Dream. Android is an open-source platform that will be shared across phones from a number of companies. By the end of the year the carrier is also expected to introduce "MyFaves 2.0," a revision of its unlimited calling plan; though there may be more changes, the major one is said to be a doubling of list size from five callers to 10.
