Guitarist Nino Laurenne formed thunderstone in 2000. The band also comprised such musicians as singer Pasi Rantanen, keyboardist Kari Tornack, bassist Titus Hjelm, and drummer Mirka Rantanen. The band debuted in June of 2002 with their self-titled album. The Burning was their second recording issued in the beginning of 2004.
