The British alternative rock band called House of Love was founded in 1986 by singers and guitarists Andrea Heukamp and Guy Chadwick, bassist Chris Groothuizen, guitarist Terry Bickers, and drummer Pete Evans. Creation Records released the group's debut single "Shine On" in 1987. The "Real Animal" single followed it the same year.
