Brian Henneman (vocals and guitar), Tom Ray (guitar), Robert Kearns (bass), and Mark Ortmann (drums) founded the Bottle Rockets in Festus, MO in the early 90's. In 1993 the group issued its full-length eponymous album, which was followed by The Brooklyn Side LP. The bands' second album got good press and earned the music contract with the Atlantic label.
