Samsung Behaves Whorishly with the Armani Name

The Emporio Armani Samsung Mobile was unveiled, which I can honestly say caused me to vomit violently into the bucket located conveniently next to my desk. This new phone dubbed ‘Night Effect’ targets the lovers of music. Armani claims that it will meet the needs of young consumers who like to party after hours. Sounds like a load of camel dung to this writer. For one thing, there are plenty of phones that are already geared towards music and in fact, we now expect new phones that hit the market to be proficient in music. What about this idiotic claim that the phone suits those who like to party it up late into the night? Does the phone help you get into specific clubs, or meet gorgeous babes who are prone to arousal because of this super sexy and good looking phone?

Samsung M150 Candybar

Samsung is making a serious effort to increase its stake in the budget conscious market sector. The M150 is the cell phone giant’s attempt to provide cost effective devices without sacrificing the Samsung quality and practicality. Samsung chose the Candybar shape for the M150, not a common design in Samsung’s lineup, in order to keep the cost down. While the M150‘s design is relatively simple, it does come with quite a few bells that make it worth while. Examples include a VGA camera and the ability to play MP3s – not to mention an FM radio and 20MB of internal memory. The M150 is scheduled to debut in Germany at the end of the summer, making its rounds across the rest of the world a few months afterwards. The only drawback with the M150 is a rather hideous design.

New Samsung Blackjack to Debut in October?

Rumors are rampant that the Blackjack III will be available in stores soon – with soon meaning before Christmas and probably as early as October. Samsung has wisely treated one of their flagship products like royalty. The Blackjack will come with a QWERTY Keyboard that will make using Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional exciting and simple. WiFi and Bluetooth have been added to the Blackjack arsenal along with a 320 x320 pixel screen. The only chink Samsung has left in the Blackjack III’s armor is a rather disappointing 2 MP camera. But it’s a trade off many people are willing to accept due to the Blackjack’s ability to use WMV and Microsoft Office files. The Samsung Blackjack III will set you back about 600,000 won. (South Korean currency) In Yankee talk that’s about $595

Samsung 8 Megapixel Camera Phone

The big question surrounding the new Samsung Innov8 is not the quality, the design, or the user friendly applications, but rather its designation. Is it a cell phone with a camera, or a camera with a cell phone? Regardless of how it’s classified, the Samsung Innov8 packs a media punch if ever there was one. It has a super camera with a 30 second frame rate and multiple camera features including blink, smile, face detection and whatever else cell phone wielding camera lovers could want in a camera phone. The Innov8 however, was made for more than just capturing embarrassing moments. It comes equipped with an FM radio, optical mouse and Wi-Fi. Officially dubbed the i8510, the Innov8 falls in the quadband GSM category which means that it supports 1900 and 2100 HSDPA.

Samsung Q1 Profit Soars 37 Percent, Outlook Strong

Samsung Electronics beat forecasts with a 37 percent rise in quarterly profit amid strong demand for mobile phones in emerging markets. Its outlook remained solid due to strengths in TV screens and handsets, lifted by a softer Korean won and robust demand.
Samsung earned 2.19 trillion won ($2.2 billion) in the January-March period compared with 1.6 trillion won in the same period last year. Sales rose 19 percent to 17.11 trillion won ($17.19 billion), the company said. "Our handset business is growing very strong," said Chu Woo-sik, executive vice president for investor relations.
