Samsung Introduces New 0.82mm Wide LCD Screen
In today’s cell phone industry where manufacturers spend millions of dollars to shave just a few millimeters of the width of their cell phone, one of the first places manufacturers have been looking to cut width is the screen.
Over the past two months, LG, Toshiba, and Samsung have all released slimmer LCD screens and have created LCD screens less than a millimeter thick. In September, LG announced their 1.3 mm wide LCD screen, while Toshiba introduced a 0.99 mm wide LCD screen two weeks later. Now, we have just gotten word that Samsung has created a new 0.82 mm wide TFT LCD screen.
These screens will be available for use in cell phones sometime in late 2007 so unless a company develops a thinner screen, expect Samsung to create the world’s slimmest…

The Samsung SGH X830 - iPod Clone?
When looking at the newest Samsung MP3 Player / Phone, the first thing that comes to mind is the iPod Nano. The SGH X830 is the same shape has the Nano except that the screen is more rectangular and that the phone itself is thicker. The one feature of the SGH X830 that makes it seem so similar to the Nano is the use of the click wheel that many automatically associate with iPods. The phone functions as an MP3 player, but there is a keypad that slides out and can be used to make phone calls. The phone comes in six different colors as you can see from the image above, black, orange, light blue, pink, yellow, and gray/white.
I know many people were anticipating seeing the iPhone (a mix between the iPod and a cell phone) very soon, but I doubt that people expected…

Samsung Introduces 10 Mega Pixel Phone
Samsung introduced today the only 10 mega pixel camera phones in the world. That’s right - 10 mega pixels. The astounding number as equivalent to the number of mega pixels that most digital cameras have.
The phone is known as the SCH-B600 and is currently only available in the Korean market. Samsung has been pushing the envelope as far as mega pixels of camera phones are concerned, as it had previously introduced the 7 mega pixel SCH V770.
The B600 also has a 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom and retails for about $950.
