Over the last several years, mobile manufacturers and wireless providers have strongly pursued the younger demographic, believing that adolescents were a potential gold mine in revenue generation. With more and more tools and services catered to annoying, obnoxious and far too horny teenagers, it is refreshing to see that there is a mobile phone designed specifically for the elderly. The phone in question is called the Samsung Haven and it is scheduled for release on July 29 via Verizon. The Samsung Haven has a 2.2 inch display with adjustable font size, dedicated emergency buttons and health and medical related features. Sounds like a useful device, but not one I would rush to purchase if I was of the golden age. Many older folk want to either feel younger or do the same daily routines that their younger fellow humans do. The Samsung Haven unfortunately does neither. Those wishing can purchase the phone for $40 with a two year contract.
