Samsung is pushing their new Jet handset in to the mainstream market by releasing a commercial with Ozzy Osbourne. While the commercial does not contain anything notable, (aside from the Metal King himself) it does show that Samsung is super serous about making the Jet a household name. The Samsung Jet is the world’s fastest Smartphone (at the time of this writing) and contains a whole slew of accessories and features. Ozzy names a few in the commercial, such as email and GPS. What was most notable for me during the commercial was how much the Jet resembled a BlackBerry. I don’t know why I never picked up on this before, but the resemblance is striking. Enough so that Samsung may be hurt when it comes to promoting the Jet brand. Also, I question the logic of using a celeb like Ozzy Osbourne for promoting what appears to be a very business oriented phone.
