Indicators are indicating that there is an indication that Apple may be considering some change to the App Store layout. While the App Store has been extremely successful, with Steve Jobs boasting that he is the app king, there is some room for improvement. Apple CEO Tim ‘Captain’ Cook responded to a question by app developer Charles Wolf from Needham and Company by saying "Charlie, we are always looking for ways to categorize Apps differently and we do have some ideas in this area," Cook replied. "As you know, today we do it by type of App and also have show popular apps and top-selling Apps, et cetera. We realize there's opportunity there for further improvement and are working on that," when asked how Apple plans to separate the quality apps from the garbage apps. Captain Cook also washed himself of pretty much any responsibility by adding that it was up to developers to set competitive prices. Apparently 99 cents isn’t low enough for Apple, while the Cupertino giant rakes in billions each year.
