Born in 1945 in Dallas, TX Stephen Stills began his professional music career when he was a teenager. In the early 60's he worked in the Au Go-Go Singers band in New York City. in 1965 he left the group and moved to Los Angeles. The following year he started the Buffalo Springfield (former title: Herd) band with Richie Furay, Dewey Martin, and Bruce Palmer.
