Recently O2 announced that that they will be bringing the highly anticipated Palm Pre to the UK. Today we have discovered that Dutch wireless provider Hi will be offering the Pre in the Netherlands. The Palm Pre is scheduled to be available Europe wide in September, with O2 supposedly making a big announcement regarding the Palm Pre tomorrow, July 7th. Apparently Hi and Telefonica are on good terms, (what ever the hell that means) paving the way for Hi. O2 is owned by Telefonica, bringing us a corporate triad that is spear heading the Pre into Europe. No word yet regarding the availability of the Palm Pre in other regions throughout Europe, but it is doubtful that any country will have to do without Palm’s saving grace. Pre sales have been strong in the U.S., but it is unclear how Europeans will embrace this new Smartphone and whether or not they are willing to abandon their current handsets to do so.
