After a successful launch in the United States, the Palm Pre is headed for the continent of culture to the East. (Europe I mean) O2 will be distributing the Palm Pre in the UK and possibly other locations throughout Europe. The bit of controversy surrounding O2 and the Palm Pre is that O2 will also carry the iPhone 3G S in the UK. That’s a nice slap in the face to Steve Jobs. (We’re glad to see you back by the way.) While no official date has been set for the Pre’s appearance in Europe, September appears to be the time Europeans will have a chance to get their manicured fingers on this smartphone. Don’t automatically assume that the Pre will be successful in Europe. There have been many instances of popular cell phone in one country that have been an utter flop in another. For example: go to Japan and tell me how many iPhones you see.
