Guitarist/vocalist Dan Hoerner (singer and guitar player), William Goldsmith (drummer), and Nate Mendel (bass player) founded sunny Day Real Estate in 1992. Jeremy Enigk (vocals) joined the band later. in 1994 the group issued its first album called Diary. In 1995, Sunny Day Real Estate split after releasing its second full-length LP.
