Holger and Varney in Frankfurt founded the German rock band Sopor Aeternus (Sleep of Death) in the early 90's. After releasing several demo tapes Holger left to start the solo career. Varney signed the contract with the Apocalyptic label, which released her first full-length album entitled Ich Tote Mich... in 1994.
