Sixty Watt Shaman was formed by guitarist Joe Selby and drummer Chuck Dukehart (ex-members of a famous band called Supercreep) and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Dan Kerzwick and bassist Jim Forrester in the middle of the 90's. The band took into consideration both achievements of contemporary musicians and those of the past to develop a style of their own.
