Glenn Danzig started Samhain in the early 80's. The group consisted of Danzig (vocalist, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist), Lyle Preslar (guitarist), Steve Zing (drummer), and Eerie Von (bassist). They released their first full-length entitled Initium in 1984. The band's finish LP named Live; 85-86 appeared in 2002.
