A prominent British blog posted an entire article about the new Nokia N8, ranting and raving about all of the amazing features and accessories. I will now take the time to once again repeat what I have said many times on this blog. The technical specifications themselves are no longer the most important facets determining the success of a device. Rather, it is the available content that is the most imperative. Until Symbian improves itself tenfold regarding the type, availability and distribution of applications, Nokia will continue to lose ground in the Smartphone market segment. The Nokia N8 uses Symbian 3? Who cares! As longs as the applications themselves are inferior to what the App Store, Android Market and BlackBerry World have to offer, Nokia could make the Rolls Royce and still not be successful. Instead of trying to beat the competition via the device, Nokia should go back to the drawing board and make applications their number one priority.
