On July 15 another mobile heavyweight is a set to hit the market. Its name Droid X, its carrier Verizon. If Steve Jobs and company were becoming concerned over the crowded mobile market, then they are probably soiling their trousers because of the Droid X. Motorola’s newest bad boy, the Droid X comes with a huge 4.3 inch TFT display, an 8MP Camera and an HD video camera. It comes standard with 32GB of memory, the much heralded Android 2.2 operating system and surround sound. This phone packs a serious punch and we are assuming will come at a hefty price tag. On paper, the Droid X can go toe-to-toe with the EVO 4G and the iPhone 4 with ease. However, Motorola is still considered a ‘b’ level manufacturer by some, though that bias decreased with the Motorola Droid which was extremely successful. Verizon wil be the sole carrier providing the phone in the United States.
