Windows Live Messenger is now available for the iPhone and iPod. Microsoft and Apple joined forces to announce the release of the world’s favorite IM for the world’s favorite phone. The iPhone version of Windows Live Messenger comes with most of the usual trimmings we have come to expect while using the computer version. The annoying ‘nudge’ will be present, along with the Windows Live Hotmail feature. Users can also be notified of updates by friends using MySpace and Facebook. An application of this nature should now become a household service with the new multitasking. Prior to the multitasking ability, using a social chat application like Windows Messenger Live would have been a nightmare for most users. There has been no report regarding a version for the iPad, but we can only assume that peons in the basements at Cupertino and Redmond are hard at work, trying to make our wishes come true.
