Bessie Smith was the first major blues and jazz singer on record and one of the most popular of all musical history. She earned the title of "The Empress of the Blues". Her first records were made in 1923, but instead of bad quality of those records, her wonderful voice sounds good and still communicates easily to today's listeners (which is not true of any other singer from that early period). Most popular Bessie Smith truetones listed: Ticket Agent Ease Your Window Down, Baby Won't You Please Come Home, Mistreating Daddy, Im Down In The Dumps, Tain't Nobody S Bizness If I Do, Safety Mama. Interesting fact - last downloaded ringtone: Down Hearted Blues to Eten M500 cell phone carried by Cricket.
