In 2000 guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark James Klepaski left Lifer, joined with singer Ben Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel and founded Breaking Benjamin. All four members of the band were from Wilkes-Barre, small town northwestern Pennsylvania.
