Fever Goes High With Apple All The Time

I am sure this title is going to turn a few heads (even if in disagreement) and most of us know that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". So what is the tagline about Apple increasing the fever? Ok don’t harness any medico misconceptions - an apple a day is really good for your health and nothing to do with fever. The fever we are talking about in this news is the fever of iPhone blogposts which keep rising all the time discussing speculations about the probable iPhone (or the non-probability of it).

A graph has been released which shows the percentage of all blogposts discussing this issue and it is quite a substantial percentage. Let’s hope with the final announcement of the phone by Steve, these bloggers take a break and let reality overshadow…

Music Enabled Mobiles On The Rise

One of the main purposes of a mobile phone (apart from the core purpose which is talking if you remember) is to listen to music. Hence it is not surprising that mobile phones with integrated music players and good music playback capabilities are on the increase. A recent survey in the United States has shown that nearly one tenth of the mobile subscribers now have music enabled phones, which is encouraging companies to develop phones with more music capabilities.

After all the sound of your favourite machine is music to the ears, and it would just add to the joy if real music also gets added to the tin soldier. But no so encouraging news is that out of these huge numbers of consumers having music phones only less than one tenth actually download music from paid…

Cesar meets Job - It's Appletime

Don’t get confused by the title, I am not talking of Julius Caesar getting a job in apple jam making unit, but its about an important meeting between two people. Well yes when important people meet the meeting is certainly important. This is more so when the personalities involved are Jobs of Apple computers and Cesar from Telefonica company.

What will the meeting be about, it is not certain at this point but certainly is has to be of some official importance for both companies and they will be talking about the secret iPhone or something similar.

The meeting will be taking place somewhere towards the end of this month or at the beginning of next month. Till those times just wait patiently to see what sort of Apple pie is cooking between the two? Once…

    Fake iPhone Model

The world of mobiles is full of glamour and fame, at least for the handsets if not for the ordinary people using them. So wherever there is fame and name, there are bound to be fakes, duplicates, rumors and what not. The latest fake to hit the "market" (online market of iPmart.com) is a new model of the famous iPhone.

The imaginary features include a 2 mega pixel camera, a touch sensitive screen; support for mp3 and mp4, good enough to rival even some real ones across the high street. The price of this has been set at $142.10 (I don???t understand the logic of ten pence and not ninety nine pence) but then who???s bothered about the bucks when all you have to shell out is thin air to obtain this fake phone.

What???s the fun of all this you…

    Smallest Music Maestro From OKI

These days most mobile phones come with music capabilities, but due to technological limitations it was not possible to play low frequency sounds. So OKI came up with a new invention and that too a small one for its size in the form of audio LSI ML2611 (Don’t ask me why they keep these lengthy numbers for devices).

With a size of just around 3mm x 3.2mm it is the world’s smallest Digital Audio Converter. Well if you don’t like going in the techno details it would be just enough for you to know that it is a very small chip (not for eating though) which helps to hear the songs you like in a much better sound quality. Apart from mobile phones this device can also be used in other portable equipments which have audio visual capabilities. The wait is not long and…

    No Apple iPhone

Do you belong to that elite group of knowledgeable citizens who had always believed in apple of the eye was a phone. Seems confusing... ok I am talking here of the Apple company and the trademark iPhone. So here goes another myth that it never ever was. The trademark iPhone has never belonged to Apple but our very familiar networking company known popularly as Cisco (don???t blame me if you can???t figure out that name). This mystery got cleared today when Cisco announced the Linksys VoIP iPhone.

But as they say the "I" never dies and is immortal beyond the limits of the bodies of phones, Apple in turn has decided to come up with other version of the "I" which could be either iCall, iChat and so forth according to the unofficial weblog of…

    Asus Z801: The Singer's Phone

Are you fascinated by the battle between the two armies played on a square board? If you are, then this is the right phone for you, well actually it does not have chess capability but still it is wise enough to have a wisdom voice control. The similarity to the wise game does not end here and the phone has a beautiful looking keyboard in the chess style. We are talking here of the new designer phone from Asus known as the Asus Z801.

It is not clear till now where this phone would be released first but seems like it would come to China and UK. Wherever it comes, it will surely bring happiness (do you find it hard to believe that a phone build in army game format could bring happiness) because it has got so many features.

    There is a 2 mega pixel camera,…

    The Invisible iPod Case

When do you say these chanting... well if you have read even a tiny bit of magic books in your childhood (as most kids do) you would know that these incantations are meant to cast a spell or create a magic. So what are they doing here on a mobile website... actually this concept has been applied by a company to create "invisible" covers for you iPod to keep it safe and yet not hide its beauty behind some funky looking case.

NO, this is not a joke and Vakaadoo (the name itself sounds magical and reminds me of Voodoo - the famous African magic) have come up of clear acrylic transparent enough not to be visible to the naked eye, yet visible enough to the wall or ground when you bump you iPod against one so that it protects it.

    So where will you…

    The Bigger Nokia N91?

I know what you are thinking - did I read the title correctly or is it a misprint? Obviously I don’t blame you if you thought because these days when companies are going mad to produce slimmer and smaller phones, how come Nokia think of bigger phone that too of a pretty successful model?

Well there is good news - this phone is big in the sense that it can hold double the songs (or whatever you want to store) than before. Actually this has got a whopping 8GB capacity as compared to the previous N91 which had a 'mere' 4 gigs capacity. Well the word whopping may seem bit exaggerated to you accustomed to think in terms of PC memory of the order of 60-80-120 GB’s but don’t forget we are talking here of a mobile phone so it is really huge.

    Rest of the…

    Napster: Back With A Bang

Does the word Napster remind you of something fishy? Well let me refresh your memory as to why it is so. Actually this is the company which did peer to peer file sharing and became quite infamous for copyright violations and all sort of stuff. But then it was forced to shut down by a court ruling against it, but has reincarnated in its new and legal Avatar as the Napster music which is an online music services company.

The icing on the cake is that not only is the new Avatar quite successful but also expanding into new ventures like the Napster Mobile which is all set to fire from the launch pad of O2 Ireland.

Customers can purview, purchase and download music from a huge collection of songs via their mobiles and the services are set to increase as the…
