These days most mobile phones come with music capabilities, but due to technological limitations it was not possible to play low frequency sounds. So OKI came up with a new invention and that too a small one for its size in the form of audio LSI ML2611 (Don’t ask me why they keep these lengthy numbers for devices).
With a size of just around 3mm x 3.2mm it is the world’s smallest Digital Audio Converter. Well if you don’t like going in the techno details it would be just enough for you to know that it is a very small chip (not for eating though) which helps to hear the songs you like in a much better sound quality. Apart from mobile phones this device can also be used in other portable equipments which have audio visual capabilities. The wait is not long and just a few more months to go.
