The constant bickering between Apple and Adobe has continued now for a few days. Recently, Emperor Jobs commented that Adobe Flash is yesterday’s technology and that Adobe is lazy. Not one to shy from a verbal confrontation, Adobe Chief Technology Officer Kevin Lynch stated that Adobe Flash is fully compatible with all Apple products and that the only reason they are not available on the iPhone or iPad is because Apple does not allow it. Lynch went on to say that Adobe Flash is also compatible with smartphones from Nokia, Google and RIM. Who is to blame for the lack of Flash on the iPhone? iPhone consumer of course. The Apple customer base has accepted the lack of Flash and has remained loyal regardless of the degraded web experience. As long as customers don’t riot, or at least voice their displeasure, Apple will not succumb to pressure from Adobe or any other company.
