The NBA, America’s famous basketball league, has come out with the N111, a unique mobile phone for basketball fans. The phone is a Chinese model and it is not yet known whether the handset will be available for foreign markets. This would be ironic seeing that the US home market is “sports crazy” about the NBA. The N111 “NBA Mobile Phone” may land up being a low-end mobile phone, with the NBA logo being its only redeeming feature. The exact specifications of this device have not yet been revealed by the manufacturers, however it can be seen in the image that the NBA mobile does have a camera and large screen. The navigation keys are also shaped in the form of a basketball. The use of a world famous brand to get consumers to relate to the product has become a popular method among producers. At the end of the day, the consumer sees this mobile phone as more of an accessory than a capable handset.
