Roni Size was born in Bristol, U.K. in the family of immigrants from Jamaica. He recorded and released his debut full-length album entitled New Forms in 1997. In 1999 Size, Leonie Laws, and DJ Die formed the Breakbeat Era band; the following year they produced the Ultra-Obscene LP. In the 2000's Size issued Touching Down (2002) and Return to V (2005).
