Hawaii-born singer-songwriter Jack Johnson was first of all a surfer, the more traditional Hawaii career. Only at a later age did Jack Johnson pursue other directions, other than professional surfing. One of these was music and during college in California he would write songs, starting what would develop to be one of the greatest solo careers of the decade.
