Survivor was formed in 1978 and comprised such musicians as guitarist/keyboardist Jim Peterik (the leader of the band), lead singer Dave Bickler, bassist Dennis Johnson and drummer Gary Smith. The band debuted with eponymous album. The band was especially popular in the 80th, and it specialized in hard music.
