The Swedish metal band Spiritual Beggars was founded in Halmstad in the middle 90's by Michael Amott, the former guitarist of such groups as Arch Enemy and Carcass. He recruited such musicians like Spice (vocals and bass) and former member of the Firebird band Ludwig Witt (drums). They signed their first contract with the Music for Nations label.
