Spirit Caravan was started in 1996 by former Obsessed guitarist Scott "Wino" Weinrich. He recruited his old friends Dave Sherman (bass) and Gary Isom (drums). In 1997 the group released its debut Lost Sun Dance EP. The full-length entitled Jug Fulla Sun and the Dreamwheel EP followed in 1999. Elusive Truth appeared two years later.
