Dennis Ristow, Barry Waddell, and Wes Waddell started the group named Seasons of the Wolf in 1988. They recruited Wayne Hoefle five years later. In 1996, the band's debut eponymous EP was released on its own label named Earth Mother Music. The full-length album entitled Lost in Hell followed three years later.
