Dave Mustaine (guitar) started the Seattle-based group Sanctuary in 1985. The band's lineup consisted of Dave Budbill (drums) Jim Sheppard (bass), Warrel Dane (vocals), Sean Blosl and Lenny Rutledge (both: guitar). Epic Records released their debut album. Sanctuary split after issuing its second full-length record.
