The group Corporation 187 was initially formed as a Slayer cover band by vocalist Pelle Severin, guitarists Magnus Pettersson and Olof Knuttson, bassist Jonas Ekstrom and drummer Robert Eng. Soon the band began recording original material for its albums, titled Subliminal Fear (2000) and Perfection in Pain (2002). They were released with two new members - Filip Carlsson (vocals) and Viktor Klint (bass) - and were preceded by European tours with Lord Bellial and the aforementioned Satanic Slaughter.
