When she was 18 Cascada was involved in studio work for various producers when she met DJ Manian and Yanou, the latter of whom had worked with DJ Sammy on producing the worldwide disco hit "Heaven." The trio recorded the single "Miracle" in 2004 under the name of Cascade, later they were renamed to Cascada (Spanish for "Waterfall") for the second pressing.
