Anubis Rising was formed in Los Angeles, CA, by Sacha Dunable (guitar/vocals), Dean Workman (guitar), Jordan Ruble (bass/vocals), and Alex Bytnar (drums), who were Inspired by the progressive post-hardcore trance-metal of Neurosis and Isis. Before breaking up in 2004 they recorded several demos, EPs, and a split album with colleagues Uphill Battle.
